The International Federation of Clinical Chemistry and Laboratory Medicine (IFCC) is the Founding Partner for the FEN. IFCC provided the resource to enable the FEN to be established and it also provided start up finance to allow the FEN to become operational.
The IFCC is the leading worldwide, non-political, organisation for clinical chemistry and laboratory medicine. As such, it has a range of roles that include (1) global standard setting in collaboration with other international organisations, (2) supporting its members through scientific and educational endeavour, and (3) providing a series of congresses, conferences and focused meetings in order for laboratory medicine specialists to meet and present original findings and best practice. The FEN will be pleased to co-operate with other partners who share the aims and aspirations of the FEN. Partners will be listed here as the collaborations are established.
